The Brooklyn Kitchen is a radical cooking school on a mission to change the world by teaching people how to cook like grown ups.
Our mission is to get as many people cooking with confidence and joy as possible. Because cooking from scratch is good for our health and our planet.
Our school attracts pizza lovers from around the globe, all of them seeking the secrets of pizza-making perfection — no pizzeria oven required. The proof is unbelievable pizzas that our students create (and eat!) in our totally hands-on classroom.
The Apotheke Academy features interactive, hands-on mixology and cocktail classes on-site. Must be 21+ for classes.
Milk Bar classes focus on the techniques that make our baked treats so uniquely delicious.
Julia Child, James Beard, and Laurie Colwin were among our early customers and ever since we have been helping people who are serious about food–or who want to get serious about food–find books they want, need, and will enjoy.
In 2012, due to popular demand, we started macaron classes, then branched off to do Croissants, and even now teaching a class on the formidable Mille-feuille!
Located at Hallock Hill Farm, a working farm nestled in the foot hills of the Adirondack Mountains and the Champlain Valley of Vermont and New York, The Carriage House Cooking School is focused on offering small and intimate cooking classes and food experiences to the home cook, serious foodie or fine food connoisseur.
